History Of Taj Mahal


Taj Mahal is the 7th wonders of the world. The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble monument at the south bank of the Yamuna river in a vast Mughal garden that encompasses nearly 17 hectares in AGRA Uttar Pradesh. It was established by Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal (A PERSIAN PRINCESS).The Taj Mahal contains beautiful Mosque, Guest House and in the south there is main gateway and a large garden. In construction of Taj Mahal masons, Carvers, Calligraphers, Artists and Engineers and 20,000 workers from the whole empire were invited especially from Central Asia and Iran and the expert Architect Ahmad Lahori was specially invited. Taj Mahal is a one day trip from Delhi you can be visited to Taj Mahal Agra fort Cantt through rail. You may be visit in High speed Shatabdi Express train starts from Varansi, Delhi and cities from Rajasthan. Taj Mahal contains 120 rooms, a savon bhadon pavilion and a hall of mirrors named as Sheesh Mahal. The main entrance is designed as a seven storied structured. There are fountains that are elaborate and its effect like rain.

In planning of constructing Taj Mahal the Tomb of Prince Mumtaz Mahal placed in beautiful quadripartite garden not in center of Taj Mahal which is a distinct perspective of the monument. The tomb has very large beautiful white shiny marble square structured symmetrical building in doorway having top high dome with a large high hip knob.

What is the best time to visit Taj Mahal?

You can visit to Taj Mahal any time, but the best time to see this wonders is the winter season from November to February as in summer there is very hot in AGRA.

Things that are not allowed in Taj Mahal

You have no permission of carrying your luggage with yourself. Eating and smoking, Arms, fire & smoking materials such as Cigarette and tobacco, headphone , and electrical accessories are strongly prohibited. Only Camera for Photography is allowed.

Main focus of this festival is on Mughal Emperor Era and Indian Culture etc. You may take advantage of attending this Festival as this venue and festival has special significance because it is apparently located where Artisans who built Taj Mahal.
