The physicist Stephen Hawking, whom his colleagues considered “one of the brightest minds in the world”, He dedicated his long life – far longer than his doctors predicted – to unraveling the mysteries of the cosmos, and many of his discoveries revolutionized theoretical physics such as the new theory of space-time or the radiation of black holes. Hawking was known for his book ‘A Brief History of Time’ and had also served as the Director of Research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology within the University of Cambridge.
