Celebrities Who Have Tested Positive for The Coronavirus


The novel Coronavirus has taken the world by storm and is spreading across countries and continents like wildfire. Here are some of the well-known people- celebrities and sport stars- who have tested positive for Coronavirus:

1: Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson



The 63 year old Actor and his Wife Rita Wilson were tested positive when they were in Australia for shooting a movie.



“Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive,” He wrote on Instagram.

2: Sophie Gregorie Trudeau- wife of Canadian Prime Minister

Sophie Gregorie Trudeau, the wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, tested positive for Coronavirus on thursday, The New York Times reported.



Justin Trudeau was under self-isolation after his wife started showing symptoms of the virus after a speaking event in the United Kingdom. 

3: Rudy Gobert- NBA player

The game between Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder was postponed on Wednesday night after Utah Jazz’s centre Rudy Gobert was tested positive for Coronavirus. The affected player was not in the arena and NBA said in a statement that it has suspended game play until further notice.


4: Donovan Mitchell- NBA player

On Thursday, Utah Jazz announced that its second player, Donovan Mitchell is also tested positive for Coronavirus. The 23-year-old athlete was reportedly the only other Utah Jazz player to test positive for the disease after all the team was put in quarantine and tested.


5: Daniele Rugani- Italian National Football star

Itallian Football club Juventus announced on Wednesday that defender Daniele Rugani has tested positive for Coronavirus. Rugani, who is also an Italian national, is the first player in Italy’s top football division to test positive after the country faced a rapid outbreak of the disease.


6: Mikel Arteta- Arsenal’s head coach 

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has tested positive for the Coronavirus, forcing the club to close its training facility and put all the players in self-quarantine. In a statement, Arsenal said that the positive test means that it will not be able to play some fixtures.
